Shabugihaeng

... AKA Meat freaking heaven.

If you've ever faced a dilemma where you weren't sure if you wanted Korean barbecue or Shabu Shabu more, than you've probably had to make some sort of sacrifice for one, cause well... ya can't have both... right?

Well if you happen to be in Seoul, Korea near Changdong station (line 1 or 4) the answer is a resounding, in yo face "WRONG!"

Truly a Meat Heaven.

At Shabugihaeng, you can have both Shabu shabu AND Korean barbecue thanks to an ingenious stove top design that allows customers to cook Shabu shabu in the center while cooking samgyupsal (and other assorted meats) around the shabu pot.

"Genius, I say"

The price of admission for a casual weekday dinner is about $12,900 won ( ~ $11 USD).

... Oh, did I mention that this is an Unlimited buffet?

everything you require for a delicious barbecue or shabu dinner... it's here!

Beyond the ingredients for a simple bbq or shabu dinner, they've also got meat dishes like Tangsuyook (fried pork or beef in sweet sauce), Jokbal (pig's feet), and Meatballs... there's plenty of side dishes and even dessert items such as sweet baked potato (small bite sized potato treats), Shikhae (rice drink), coffee and ice cream!

It's like Disneyland.

Choose your meats! Use tongs to grab as much meat as your heart desires... I wanted to use my hands but I think people frown upon that...

Let's get started... Bring on the food!!!

"Nom nom"

Whenever I eat meat, be it Shabu Shabu or Korean Barbecue, I always need me some garlic and spicy chili peppers.

The trifecta... grilled kimchi, chili peppers, and garlic.

The Dinner Table.

"...PREPARE FOR GLORY!!!"

I think its time for a close up... shall we??

Shabu Shabu meat with some greens and mushrooms.
Are you salivating yet? ... no?

Ok, here's close up number two.

bbq brisket wrapped in cabbage with roasted pepper and garlic.

You may want to wipe the spit off your keyboard...

There were a few seafood items for grilling as well... there were squid, clams, shrimp, and a few other stuff I'm forgetting.

Shrimpy shrimp.

I came to this restaurant starving and ready to eat. I'm glad I did because I savored every scrumdeliumptious bite. We each ended the dinner with some Shikhae and Ice Cream.

For just around $13,000 won, you truly get plenty of bang for your buck.

A huge Thank You for Aaron Suh who found this place, Thanks Broski!
